Park
The
major vegetation in Panna national park is dominated by dry deciduous forest
inter spread with grassland areas. Other floral species in the park include
tectona grandis, diospyros melanoxylon, madhuca indica, buchnania latifolia,
anogeissus latifolia, anogeissus pendula, lannea coromandelica, bosswelia
serrata etc. Dry hot climate and shallow Vindhyan soils has causes the rise
to dry Teak and dry mixed forest.
Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) are the main attraction of Panna wildlife
park which are presents in large number. Other animals found in the park are
jungle cat, leopard, hyena, wild dog, wolf, sloth bear, sambhar, chital,
Caracal, nilgai, chinkara, chausinga, porcupine, jungle cat, rusty spotted
cat, hare, ratel, tree shrew, Indian deers, Nilgai etc.
Dense forest and the ken river passing through the park have attracted 200
known bird species reside in the park. They include both migratory birds and
native ones. Some important birds in the park include honey buzzard, white
necked stork, bar-headed goose, King vulture, blossom-headed Parakeet,
slaty-headed Scimitar babbler, Paradise flycatcher etc. Long snouted
crocodile (gharial), Marsh Crocodile (maggar) and a large variety of snakes
including pythons are popular reptiles in the park.

kind of exploring the fauna wealth of the park in the moonless nights
and recognizing them by their twinkles of eyes.
